Importance of Vastu

Every time we build a house or business, there are a few key elements that we should pay close attention to in order to improve our lives and solve a variety of concerns. Vastu Shastra describes architectural science using astrological verses and assists us in spotting patterns when building an office or home.

Every construction plan we have is impacted by each of the five elements (Air, Water, Earth, Fire, and Sky). Our lives may encounter new issues if there is even a small unbalance between these components. Furthermore, we may suffer negative effects by residing or working in an environment where there is a discrepancy between the elements.

Ancient texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Agni Puranas, Matsya Puranas, Ramayana, and Mahabharata attest to the importance of Vastu Shastra. Furthermore, this tool has been extensively acknowledged and discussed by notable sages like Maharishi Vashishth, Kashyap, Garg, Atri, and Indra, Vishvakarma, and Vasudeva.

Ten distinct directions are taken into account under this science. East, West, South, and North are the main directions. In addition, there exist four additional angular directions, referred to as Vidishayein: North East, North West, South East, and South West. Sky (Aakash) and Underground (Patal) have been added to the list, bringing the total to ten. The Brahma Sthana is the name of the plot’s center.

Different directions and what are their effects

North: This direction is ruled by Mercury. Any dosha originating in the north brings about financial loss, sleeplessness, infections of the throat and nose, among other things. The north is associated with wealth, money, and profits. It is important to avoid adding too much weight and to keep this approach simple and light. Your wardrobe or safe’s door should open to face north as well. Installing a Budh Yantra and providing water for the Tulsi plant will eliminate the dosha. With devotion, you can also recite the Vishnu Sahastranaam Path.

South: This direction is dominated by Mars. Any dosha that arises increases the likelihood of becoming mired in legal disputes and arguments and sour relations with older brothers. In addition, there’s a possibility of experiencing blood-related diseases. Create a Mangal Yantra to drive out evil spirits and make an effort to point heavy objects in this direction.

East: The Sun is the direction’s presiding lord. Since this path contributes to wealth and success, it must be kept clear and open. If issues go in this route, the father-son bond begins to suffer, there are several issues around the house, and there is a lot of stress in the air. Installing a Surya Yantra in this direction and making a daily offering of Arghya to Lord Sun are the best ways to remove the dosha.

West: The lord of this direction is Saturn. If there is any dosha in this direction, then the household’s electrical appliances—such as the TV, refrigerator, phone, etc.—begin to malfunction regularly and the work appears to be having issues. There’s a chance that family members have respiratory conditions or bone discomfort.

North East (Ishan) : Jupiter is the ruler of the North East direction (Ishan). Because this direction is pristine, unadulterated, and belongs to the Gods, the temple should only be built facing this way; restrooms and other structures shouldn’t be built here. The amassing of wealth and the receiving of divine favors are both impacted by any dosha in this regard. Family members may also have marital difficulties. In addition, conditions pertaining to the stomach, ears, etc., may also develop. Destroy the negative forces in this direction by putting the Guru Yantra in place and paying homage to Maa Saraswati and Lord Shiva.

North West (Vayavya): This direction is ruled by the moon. Should there be any flaw, there could be disputes with your neighbors and a possible deterioration in your mother’s health. Another possibility is that females’ marriages will take longer to consummate. In addition, mental tension, colds, coughs, urinary tract infections, etc., might be experienced. To obtain favorable effects, one can position a Chandra Yantra in this direction and wear a Mala, or garland, made of Five Faced Rudraksha or Panch Mukhi Rudraksha. Worshiping Maa Durga would also have positive effects.

South East (Agneya): Agneya, or the South East, is ruled by Venus and is associated with the element of fire. This is the sole reason the kitchen is designed in this manner. A dosha in this direction causes the women’s health to deteriorate, marital discord, miscommunication with tenants, car trouble, and illnesses associated with the uterus, such as diabetes and hernias. To achieve favorable outcomes, point the Shukra Yantra in this direction and touch the feet of young girls to win their blessings.

South West (Nairutya): Rahu rules the direction of the south-west (Nairutya). It is necessary to build the master bedroom with this direction in mind. Any deviation in this way results in Pitru Dosha, and a number of recurrent issues on the paternal side endure. In addition, there’s still a chance that someone may steal from the house, and family members may experience accidents, skin conditions, cognitive disorders, or blood-related illnesses. To eliminate the negative effects of the dosha, Rahu Yantra must be installed in this direction and dogs must be fed biscuits.

Brahma Sthana: This region is kept free, open, and tidy because it symbolizes the middle or core portion of a house ruled by Lord Brahma. Any dosha in this location can lead to difficulties and discord in the family, and the individuals may get sick frequently. There occasionally appears to be a paranormal influence within the residence due to terrible circumstances. It is necessary to repeat the Gayatri Mantra and keep this space free and light. In addition, the Vastu Dosh Nivaran Yantra needs to be placed facing east.
